Our Spaces

Realm Open Space
Our main event space features white walls, 18’ high ceilings and a floor to ceiling infinity wall that is the perfect spot for installations, a head table or photo booth. South-facing windows let in ample, soft light all day for picture-perfect moments. It is perfect for receptions, dinners, celebrations, offsite team meetings, corporate launches or intimate ceremonies.

Amethyst Cafe
Amethyst Coffee’s third location is nestled in the front of our space and is available as additional event space after 3pm. Their spacious bar can be set up for beverage or food services, product display, or even for back of house prep. A large garage door opens right out onto the patio, facilitating an open indoor/outdoor environment

Amethyst Patio
Amethyst’s outdoor patio integrates seamlessly with the rest of the venue and is a great area for cocktail hours, guest check-in, or simply an outdoor lounge area.

Our upstairs meeting room is furnished with a 10-top table and TV for audio visual needs. It can be used for break out sessions, presentations, small workshops, meetings, or as a ready room for events. Large windows let in natural light and provide a visual connection with the rest of the space.

General Guidelines

Event Hours and Amplified Sound
Event hours can start as early as 7am and end as late as 10pm.  Full-day Rentals include a 6-hour event, along with 3 hours for setup and 1 hour for tear-down. Additional Hours can be facilitated and purchased on a case by case basis. All deliveries, setup, cleanup, and pickups must take place during your rental times. Realm follows all amplified sound rules and regulations required by the City of Denver and the State of Colorado. These rules can be provided upon request.

Alcohol
Colorado State law allows clients to serve alcohol at their events at Realm as long as it is served by a Realm-approved Bar Service or Realm-approved licensed and insured Caterer. Realm maintains a list of bar services that have provided their county/state-required licenses and insurance information. It is the client’s responsibility as to where and how alcohol is purchased, delivered, and removed from the venue.

Colorado State law requires all events that are open to the public that serve alcohol must obtain a Special Event Liquor Permit.  Colorado State law also requires that all events that charge admission and/or charge for alcohol must obtain a Special Event Liquor Permit.  You must file your applications with the City of Denver no later than 30 days prior to your event. Instructions, definitions of a Public Event, and the application can be provided by upon request.

Arrival and Departure Times
All clients, guests, and vendors must adhere to the event setup and tear-down times stated on the signed contract. Early arrivals and late departures will result in additional charges. All deliveries must occur during your contracted setup and tear-down times.

Catering
All food must be supplied from a licensed and insured caterer included on Realm’s Catering List. This includes, but is not limited to: food, non-alcoholic drinks, baked goods, favors, and treats. If you’d like to use a caterer that is not Realm’s List, you may be charged a $500 fee and the caterer must provide their valid license and insurance at least 4 months before your event. Un-listed caterers are not allowed if your event is within 4 months.

Cleanup Responsibilities
At the end of your event, all event spaces that were used for your event must be left in the same condition as when you arrived: neat, tidy, and free of debris, trash, or decorations. Everything you bring in for your event (rentals, décor, etc.) must be removed. Our Event Check-in/Check-out form details your responsibilities and can be provided upon request.

Amethyst Bar
Only approved vendors and staff are allowed behind Amethyst’s bar. No guests are permitted behind or on top of the bar. Amethyst’s counter top can only be used for plating & serving, display, beverage service, or as additional guest seating. Any other use of the bar must be approved in advance by Realm & Amethyst. Amethyst’s equipment and wares may not be tampered with in any fashion.

Damages or Additional Cleanup Charges
In the event that extra cleanup is required following your event, or there are any damages to the property (including damages that may result in Amethyst or Realm’s inability to operate), Realm reserves the right to bill the client and retrieve those fees/funds from your credit card on file.

Décor
All décor must be approved by Realm staff in writing prior to your event.

  • Decorations may not be taped, nailed, tacked, screwed, glued or otherwise attached to the walls, floors, ceilings or furniture or any surface

  • Confetti, glitter (and items coated in glitter), silly string, rice, birdseed, sparklers, and fog machines are not permitted anywhere on the property.

  • Candles may be used in vessels taller than the flame and built to catch all the drippings

Floor Plan
A detailed floor plan of your event, including Realm-provided equipment will be provided to you after your Final Walk-through Meeting. Changes to your floor plan can be made up until 48 hours before your event. If multiple changes are made within 48 hours to your event, you may be charged additional fees based on staffing and supply.

Insurance
Special Event Liability Insurance is required for all events at Realm. The details of the requirements for the insurance are stated in your contract. A certificate must be turned into Realm Staff prior to your final Walk-through. Recommendations to procure this insurance can be provided upon request.

On-Site Contact
Your On-Site Contact will play a key role in the success of your event. This person will be your liaison to Realm staff and your vendors, so make sure to select this person with care. Traditionally, clients hire an event planner or coordinator to be their on-site contact for the day. We recommend that you do not choose a member of your wedding party or one of your guests. Your on-site contact will be expected to arrive at the very start of your contracted setup time, check in with the Realm Manager, coordinate your vendors’ schedules, make sure all event arrangements and policies are followed, manage the event, manage the cleanup of your event, and check out with the Realm Manager at the end of the night. If you need recommendations, we have a list of event coordinators that we would be happy to share with you.

Realm Staff
Realm’s venue operations staff is available to help coordinate the logistics of your event. We will host a final walk-through one month prior to your event with your vendors. In this one-hour walk-through meeting, our venue operations staff will work with you and your vendors to finalize your event details. After the meeting, we will send you a copy of your floor plan and your event order which will include the inventory items you will be using, your timeline, and a list of your vendors.

Prior to the start of your contracted setup time, Realm’s staff will complete the setup of all Realm inventory items. At the end of your event, you or your caterer will breakdown and put away all Realm inventory items. We will be present during your entire event to help with any facility-related needs. However, we are not available to help you with your preparations, event management, cleanup, or otherwise.

Parking
Parking is provided in the Realm parking lot. There are ample spots available around the venue. No parking is allowed in the VA parking lot demarcated by yellow posts.

Pets
Pets are not permitted on the property during events, except for service animals. All exceptions must be approved by Realm Staff in writing no later than the Final Walk-through Meeting.

Recommended Vendor List
Realm maintains a list of vendors that we love working with and we are happy to provide to you at your request.  Any vendors not on our recommended list must be approved in writing.

Rented Equipment and Deliveries/Pickups
All equipment delivered to, and/or used by the renter in connection with the event, is the sole responsibility of the renter. All such equipment must be removed from Realm at the end of the event. All exceptions must be approved by Realm Staff in writing no later than the Final Walk-through Meeting.

Security
Realm’s venue operations staff will act as security for most events.  Should we determine your event needs additional security, Realm will provide the security and you will be charged for the additional cost. The need for additional security will be determined no later than your final walk-through.

Smoking
Smoking and drugs of any kind, including e-cigarettes & vaping, is prohibited at Realm. This includes all indoor and outdoor patio areas.

Subject to Change
All Realm policies, procedures, and pricing are subject to change.

Walk-in tours are available during administrative hours (except when closed for an event or photo shoot). Private tours are available by appointment. Please call or email to schedule.

Walk-through Meetings
All Walk-through Meetings are available by appointment only. All events will have a Final walk-through meeting, which will take place approximately one month before your event (scheduled by our venue operations staff) with you and your caterer and any approved vendors. At this Final Walk-through Meeting, your event timeline will be confirmed, your list of vendors will be confirmed, and the setup/floorplan of your event will be confirmed. All outstanding required paperwork (Licenses, insurances, etc.) is due at this time.
